Traffic and safety issues loom large throughout the entire Township and at no time does this become more apparent than during construction. The WCA will be working to understand the impact that construction at Lower Merion High School and other proposed work sites will have on our neighborhoods and collaborate with the appropriate agencies to minimize disturbances.

Have you noticed a decrease in power outages in your neighborhood?  Exasperated by the frequency of power outages that had been plaguing the Wynnewood neighborhoods, members of the Civic Association met with PECO representatives last summer to voice the community’s frustration.  Following that meeting, PECO implemented a plan that initiated, in the case of a local power interruption, an immediate, automatic switch to an alternative grid. 

If you do experience a loss of power, it is imperative to call PECO at 1-800-841-4141 to report the outage.  Without accurate household reporting, PECO’s response time may be compromised.

If you notice these or any hazardous or nuisance conditions requiring attention, contact the Lower Merion Police Departments business number at 610-649-1000 or the Department of Public Works at 610-645-1000. Both of these departments can be contacted via the Township website, www.lowermerion.org

Walkers Relief! 
Tired of dodging the dripping water that often accompanies a trek through the Anderson Avenue underpass?  This year, a pedestrian friendly refurbishment, including structural repairs, painting, new sidewalks and lighting is scheduled.
